Nick Fouquet

Model, global bohemian, hat designer, nature lover. Nick Fouquet has a late-’90s Brad Pitt meets Indiana Jones persona that makes its way into his designs, whether they’re his cult-favorite hats (Pharrell is a fan), SoCal-inspired tees (Cara Delevingne wears them) or candles (with names like Ocean Nomad). After growing up in southwest France and Palm Beach, Fla., he stole his mother’s credit card and moved to Patagonia for five months after high school, then graduated from Rollins College in Australia with a degree in environmental science. Fouquet stumbled upon his calling after moving to Los Angeles and experimenting with the form, honing his craft and creating quality hats from sustainably harvested beaver fur felt. And while many milliners offer an array of styles to appeal to different consumers, Fouquet, whose studio is based in Venice, prides himself on standing out from the crowd.
