The Lost Explorer

Guided by nature, The Lost Explorer creates skincare products for the purpose of investing 100 percent of its profits into organizations that support a variety of environmental and social issues, from reviving struggling habitats to environmental protections. The company was founded in 2016 in Venice by David de Rothschild, a scion of the famous British banking family and an active environmentalist and world explorer who has skied both poles, sailed across the ocean (in a boat made of plastic to draw attention to pollution) and camped in the Himalayas. As one might imagine, this is not a typical grooming brand. Skincare items range from the (surprisingly gentle) Volcanic Face Scrub to the Everyday Skin Support Balm and the Traveler’s Protection Balm, good for warding off an array of environmental stresses.
