Athleisure and leather seldom go together, but leave it to Paris-born, Los Angeles-based Ambre Dahan to make it work. Formerly of Joe’s Jeans, where she served as design director and worked alongside her husband at the time, founder Joe Dahan, Ambre launched SPRWMN in 2016 (ex-husband Joe came on a year later) as a solution to easily dressed-up basics. Leather pants pull on like leggings and stretch with ease but never stretch out. An array of colors — forest green, oxblood, black and electric blue — make them closet staples, while embellishments like athletic striping or a crop flair add some edge. Joggers and skirts are also now part of the collection, as are jumpsuits and jackets, all made in L.A. from the same supple lambskin leather. She has SPRWMN in addition to the fine jewelry line Ambre Victoria.
